Adding an image

I added an image to compliment the theme of the blog.

Changed Background

I have never created a blog before, or even designed a website or anything, so this is all very new to me.  I thought the way the blog looked was very nice, I like the simple design.  However, I crave color, and I like seasonal themes, so I changed the background to a spring look.  I think it is still easy to read, but now is more interesting to look at.  Of course, anyone is free to change it if they don't like it!

I added an image to the background on the left side. I thought the picture of a library inside of a laptop worked with the theme. If it feels too busy feel free to remove it or if you like it better on both sides that is an option.The image came from Pixabay, www.pixabay.com, a source of copyright free images.

Thank you for adding me to the blog. I changed the color of the navigation bar and added a gadget for useful links on the right.

I added a translate option in the footer section provided by Google Translate. This way, anyone from around the world can easily read what we write. The web allows access to all corners of the world, so let's be available to anyone that comes looking!

I changed the background and colors of the blog because before it was set up with a "travel" template, but I found it hard to read the text with the transparent background. Also, since our focus is on "Presentation Tools," I thought it would be more appropriate to have a simple layout than have a background that is not relevant to our subject area. If my teammates disagree they can feel free to change it. I also added the search box on the right sidebar.

The blog was set up by following the instructions from last weeks assignment links. The only snag I ran into was understanding how to add administrators. Only after an invitation is accepted, can the author be changed to administrator. I chose the background and layout just to play around and see the different choices and how they effect the look of the blog. Neither of these choices are permanent, if either of my classmates wants to change them.
